Former transportation and environmental advisor to the House Democratic Leader, legislative aid in the Senate, and a senior regulatory attorney at the U.S. Department of Transportation. Former general counsel of a successful federal contracting firm, and lobbyist for leading transportation agencies, technology companies and government contracting fims.
Kyle served for 8 years as senior policy advisor to House Democratic Leader Dick Gephardt. Kyle handled transportation, energy, and environmental issues. He was one of the lead negotiators on the Airline Stabilization Act and the Aviation Security Act in the days following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He was also the lead author of the Democrats 2001 nation energy plan that was the leading nation news story the day it was released and which continues to shape Democratic energy proposals.
Kyle has also worked on highway infrastructure and safety issues, bus rapid transit and light rail projects, intelligent transportation system programs, Clean Air Act compliance, economic development initiatives, regulatory enforcement proceedings, and major port dredging and congestion mitigation projects.
Kyle also practiced regulatory law for over 30 years.
